 This is the infamous Cowl Induction System used on the 69 Z/28 with 302 cubic inch motor! 

It will also work on any 1st gen Camaro with small block V8, with high-rise aluminum intake (like the Edelbrock RPM Performer) and Holley carb with vaccum secondaries (double pump Holleys have clearance issues with the air cleaner base.)

RPO (Regular Production Option) ZL2 was the option code for Special Ducted Hood. This option was one of the coolest options available for the 1969 Camaro and remains a very popular add-on for all 67 through 69 Camaros. It consisted of the infamous “Cowl Hood”, special air cleaner and assorted parts to make it functional. Over the years, many Camaro owners have added this very popular hood but neglected to add the necessary parts to make it a fully functional hood. It’s a very cool site to see the flapper valve open when you nail the accelerator.

This complete Camaro Cowl Induction System includes all parts required to make your existing cowl hood functional. Kit includes: Air cleaner with arrestor, black lid, quality air filter, extension (302), flange, flange to hood seal, flapper valve seal, flapper valve, valve retainers, flapper frame and seal, solenoid, relay, high quality FACTORY-FIT harness, hood grommet, throttle arm with hardware, switch and retainer, correct valve cover elbow and grommet.
